BBSINFO Version 1.80 (04-06-96)
A Renegade Utility
Documentation
NOTE: This version is for Renegade v04-05-96 and higher only!!!
WHAT:
BBSINFO will make a bulletin (.ANS & .ASC) of your BBS history for the
past 1 to 365 days.
HOW:
BBSINFO reads info from your RENEGADE.DAT, and HISTORY.DAT data files, from
this data it gathers and sorts the information you see in the bulletins.
BBSINFO is commandline driven and the Parameters are as follows:
NOTE: Any errors that occur during the operation of BBSINFO will be
identified on screen and they will also be logged to a file
called ERRORS.LOG located in the same path as BBSINFO.EXE.
The FIRST parameter is the complete path to your RENEGADE.DAT file.
The SECOND parameter is the complete path and name of the bulletin
BBSINFO creates.
Parameters 3 - 11 MUST be used and they are the colors for different sections
of the bulletins. The color numbers correspond to the NEW MCI color codes.
MCI colors that can be used are #0 through #15. #0 is the color Black.
The THIRD parameter is the color for the border.
The FOURTH parameter is the color for the title.
The FIFTH parameter is the color for the headings (BBS STATS etc..).
The SIXTH parameter is the color for the descriptions under the
BBS STATS heading.
The SEVENTH parameter is the color for the numbers under the
BBS STATS heading.
The EIGHTH parameter is the color for the descriptions under the
FILE STATS heading.
The NINTH parameter is the color for the numbers under the
FILE STATS heading.
The TENTH parameter is the color for the descriptions under the
MESSAGE STATS heading.
The ELEVENTH parameter is the color for the numbers under the
MESSAGE STATS heading.
Parameter 12 MUST be used and it is the color for the BACKGROUND of the
.ANS bulletin. The color numbers correspond to the NEW MCI color codes.
Due to ANSI background color limitations the only MCI color codes that
can be used are as follows: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, and #0 is the
color Black.
The TWELVTH parameter is the color for the BACKGROUND of the .ANS bulletin.
The THIRTEENTH parameter specifies if you want a pause (%PA) at the end
of the bulletin. If you DO use /yes for this parameter, if you DONT
then use /no for this parameter.
The FOURTEENTH parameter is how many days to go back.
EXAMPLE:
Say your RENEGADE.DAT file is located in the path C:\RBBS\ and you want the
bulletins put in the path C:\RBBS\MISC\ and you want various colors used
for the .ANS bulletin, and you want a white background, and you do want
a pause at the end of the bulletin, and you want the bulletins called
info (.ANS & .ASC) and you want to go back 10 days.
You would type:
BBSINFO C:\RBBS\ C:\RBBS\MISC\INFO 1 2 3 4 5 15 14 11 2 7 /yes 10
